New Year
Christmas was full of traveling & wonderful time spent with family. Mari especially enjoyed playing with her little cousin Ben.

Time is flying by

With Christmas less than a week away we have been busy getting ready for the festivities. Simon & I have been making goodies every night after the girls go to bed. Only 2 more munchies to make!
When Mari is asked what she wants for Christmas she says a "little present". Now most kids would ask for toys or at least a big present. I hope she doesn't get disappointed with the size of her gifts. Ha!
Above is a picture of the girls in their Christmas dresses. I think they look so pretty in them and Mari always agrees with me. :)

Let it snow, Let it snow, Let it stop
The first day of December brought us 8.5 inches of snow! Luckily the city was prepared and the snow plows were out that day. I did end up pulling out one car on Sunday on my way to buy Christmas presents. Poor kids were in this little Honda and they had no shovel or even gloves. Needless to say they were happy to see me in my 4x4 pick up. :)

What a funny girl!
I was sitting at my computer desk when Copper & Mari entered the office. Copper stopped at Mari’s desk and Mari says to Copper, “Copper I need to milk you”. I look over as she says this and watch her attempt to “milk” the dog. I yell “Mari don’t!” and she says “Mommy, I need too”. Copper by now has run out of the room and I am doing all I can not to burst out laughing. How does she come up with these things??!!

Yea!!
Well today is great!! I stepped on the scale and I am back to my pre-pregnancy weight! It is nice to have all of my weight gone from carrying Gretta. Now on to my left over weight from Mari!

Big Buck
Hunting season is in full swing at our house. Unfortunately the only deer Simon is close enough to is in our yard. :-/
As Simon was pulling out of the drive this morning he saw a big 5x5 buck coming into our front yard. The deer ran between the birch tree & the girls' window, stopped between the pickup and the front door, then turned around & ran around the south side of the house, across the back yard, stood in the far NW corner of our yard by the street, then crossed and headed toward the college.
Oh if he could only see a deer like that from his tree stand.
